30 Dec 7 Tips to maintain those good vibes
We all naturally have good and bad days, where our mood is high on one, low on another. However, maintaining those feel-good positive vibes, when you’re feeling less than motivated to be happy, can be tough – especially when you’re feeling low.
Low moods (and their subsequent low vibes) can be triggered by various things – the weather, the time of year and Seasonal Affective Disorder or the actions of others. So here are 7 tips to ensure you maintain those feel-good vibes!
Any form of exercise will release endorphins, especially if you stick with it for at least 15 minutes. Yoga is particularly great for helping clear your mind and getting focused onto what’s important for you – plus it stretches every muscle group and strengthens your core muscles – so that’s a win-win for you!
We all know the importance of eating a healthy balanced diet, but did you know that it can actually make you happier too? Obviously having a healthy digestive system can leave you feeling more energised and alert, but eating 7 helpings of fresh fruit and/or vegetables can boost your mental-wellbeing too. Other foods that help promote happiness are: dark chocolate, mushrooms, probiotic-rich foods and drinking green tea.
Smiling instantly lifts you mood, creating an immediate happy vibe – whether that smile is genuine or forced. Often we wait until we are happy BEFORE we smile – but the act of smiling instantly leaves you feeling calmer and happier – leading to even more smiles and happy vibes!
You cannot fail to feel better if you laugh more – so look for things that make you laugh more. Laughing is contagious and the effects last long after the laugh has ended. It lowers cortisol (the stress hormone) and it doesn’t take long for a fake laugh to turn into a real one. Why not find a laughter club or take up laughter yoga, to really reap the benefits?
Meditation has long been known to have a positive impact on both your mind and body. It enables you to help free yourself from anxiety and depression too.
Take a break
Having a regular time-out for yourself is crucial to your levels of happiness. It gives you space and time to think, breath in fresh air and blow away the cobwebs. Get outside in nature, to receive maximum benefits.
Unplug – listen to music
We have all been moved by a piece of music. Whether you prefer classical music or pop, music enables us to connect with our emotions, it raises our vibrations and encourages us to get up and dance!
Of course in my humble opinion, ‘The Love Energy’ album is doubly beneficial. It’s tuned to the Solfeggio Frequencies, all of which connect to the different chakras in your body, so it not only helps you connect, it can help centre and clear your head too! But regardless of what your favourites are, why not plug in, turn it up and raise those happy vibes!
